Bathroom: *is flooded*

Landlord: *is in Maryland*

Plumber: *is coming at some point between now and....ever*

Christina: *is drinking wine and watching Doctor Who*

Because, seriously, what else am I supposed to do?

THIS IS BEING AN ADULT, PEOPLE!  DEALING WITH YOUR OWN PLUMBING DISASTERS.  AND IT SUCKS!

As I was leaving my apartment this morning, boiler-replacement-guy stops me and tells me they are replacing the boiler in the building today and they may need to go into my apartment to check whatever it is they check about boilers.  This is fine, the landlord has a key, I just ask him to please not let my cat out.  I head off to work, and as I'm ( Read more... )

It got very warm this week.  Over 70.  They turned off the heat in my building, to keep it from getting too hot.  That was good.  I have no control over the heat, because it's an old apartment building with radiators.  It is now 25 fucking degrees and my radiators sit there, cold and unused.
